Will of Laughlin MacLean, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

This is the last Will and Testament of me Lauchlin MacLean Farmer Springville, County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia.

First after of all my lawful debts and Testamentary expenses are paid I direct that my Executors and Executrix hereinafter named shall pay all and funeral I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Maryanne during her natural life the use of all my real estate and personal property, my will is that she may use her income of it for her own comfort and for the maintenance and well being of her house.

Second at the decease of my wife above named my will is that all my property both real estate and personal be divided into equal parts and be give to my two daughters Mary Catherine and Christine Ellie all equal parts to each of them to be used by them conjointly, or to be sold as they may agree and that each get her portion being the one half of all my property.

If either of the above named daughters die before then another, my will is that the surviving daughter get all my property at the decease of my wife. I will my property to them my two daughters because they have remained with their parents and kindly cared for them in their old age.

Third. I nominate and appoint my two daughters Mary Catherine and Christine Ellie my executors and executrixes of this my last Will and Testament and give them full power to execute the same as above bequeathed.

I hereby annul all former Wills and make this my last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I hereby subscribe my name and set my Seal this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety three in the presence of the subscribing witnesses, who in the presence of each other the Testator declared this to be his last Will and Testament and we witnessed the Testator subscribe his name and Set his Seal

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Lauchlin McLean late of Springville in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 21st. day of December 1900.

Witness my hand at Pictou this 28th. day of December 1900.
