Will of Hugh McLean, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I Hugh McLean of Fraser’s Mountain in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, “Farmer”, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament.

I give, devise and bequeath my estate and property real and personal as follows, that is to say

I give, devise and bequeath to my son Miller Hugh McLean and his heirs and assigns forever all my estate and property real and personal of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease, consisting of my farm at said Fraser’s Mountain with the houses buildings and appurtenances hereto belonging – all my farm stock farming implements and household furniture and all my other personal property To Have and To Hold the same to him my said son Miller Hugh McLean and his heirs and assigns forever.

I appoint my friend George A. Douglass of New Glasgow Merchant executor of this my last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have signed and Sealed and published and declared this instrument as my last Will and Testament at New Glasgow in the County of Pictou and Province aforesaid this twenty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

The said Hugh McLean at said New Glasgow on said twenty first day of July AD 1900 Signed and Sealed this instrument and declared the same as and for his last Will and Testament, and we at his request and in his presence of us and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Hugh McLean late of Fraser’s Mountain in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 13th. day of March AD 1902.
