Estate of Robert Willis late of Stellarton, Merchant, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I, Robert Willis of Montreal in the Province of Quebec, Merchant, y make this my last Will. I give devise and bequeath my estate and property, real and personal, as follows, that is to say, The building at the rear of the property willed to my wife Mary McKenzie by her father the late Hector McKenzie of Stellarton Nova Scotia, also the Barn and appurtenances both buildings being situated in Stellarton aforesaid and used at present as a dwelling and Livery Stable. Together with the following sums of money viz. Note of Willis & Co. $5000 (five thousand dollars) Life Insurance Policy with profits $2000 (Two thousand Dollars) Balance in Savings Bank $1400 (Fourteen Hundred Dollars) In all the sum of Eight Thousand four hundred Dollars more or less, with all other personal and household effects, belonging to me at my death to my wife Mary McKenzie subject to the following conditions,
All the rents benefits and interests arising from the above property shall be drawn and used by my wife for the use and benefit of herself and my three children Elizabeth Ann, Mary, and Margaret Janet. But my wife shall have no power to withdraw or invest any portion whatsoever of the aforesaid property. This power to be invested in my Executors to this my last Will.
It is hereby stipulated that my wife's participation in the benefits of this will is conditional upon her remaining unmarried during the remainder of her lifetime. At the death of my wife, the whole of the abovementioned property shall revert to my three daughters abovementioned, and be divided between them, share and share alike. But no portion of this money or property shall in case of the marriage of any or all of my daughters be responsible for any liabilities of their husbands, whatsoever, but be for the private use and benefit of my three daughters aforesaid. If my daughters should not survive their mother, then she with the concurrence of the executors shall bequeath the property to such persons and objects as they may consider advisable.
I appoint Brothers Alexander P. Willis of Montreal, Merchant, James F. Willis, of Stellarton, N.S. also Merchant, and Hugh McKenzie Barrister of Truro N.S. to be Executors of this my last Will.
In witness whereof I have Signed, Sealed and declared this Instrument as my Will at Montreal this seventh day of March One Thousand eight Hundred and Eighty nine.

The said Robert Willis of Montreal on the 7th. day of March 1889. Signed and Sealed this Instrument and declared the same as and for his last Will, And we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Robert Willis late of Stellarton, in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 18th. day of January A.D. 1890.
