Last will and Testament

Of Margaret Jane McKenzie, late of Roger’s Hill Pictou Co., deceased, Testate

For Registry in the Books of Registrar of Deeds County of Pictou

I Margaret Jane McKenzie of Roger’s Hill, in the County of Pictou, Widow, do make publish and declare this my last Will and testament.

1st. I will devise and bequeath to Robert McLellan and James A. Fraser my brother in law and brother all my Real and Personal Estate In Trust for the following purpose. Viz.

So soon as they may deem prudent to sell and dispose of my said Real Estate and also to realize the proceeds of my Personal Property and out of the same to provide for the support maintenance and education of my two beloved children Georgina and Marion and when the said children shall have arrived at their majority to pay over to them or their survivor of them any balance of money that may remain in their hands.

2nd. I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint the said Robert McLellan and James A. Fraser the Executors of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereto my hand Seal subscribed and Set this twenty seventh day of April A.D. 1879.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of One Folio, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Margaret Jane McKenzie late of Roger’s Hill in the County of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this fourth day of June A.D. 1879.
