Will of George J. Mckenzie, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I George J. McKenzie of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Medial Doctor do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time and heretofore made.

First – I will devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Jean McKenzie all my real Estate and household furniture and furnishings during the term of her natural life and at her decease to my two daughters Agnes May and Mary To Have and To Hold the same to them my said two daughters their heirs and assigns forever after the decease of my said wife aforesaid.

Second – I will and bequeath to my son John my Medical library and instruments.

Third – I will and bequeath all my other property of every nature and kind and wheresoever situated to the Executrixes and Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereinafter named In Trust for the following purposes that is to say, to invest the same in good and reliable Securities and at the best rate of interest that can be obtained therefor and to pay annually to my said wife during her natural life the income arising from the same for the maintenance and support of herself and my said two daughters until they or either of them shall marry and if the said income shall be insufficient for such purposes then I direct that she shall receive out of the principle such additional Sum of money each year as may be reasonably necessary to that end and at the decease of my said wife to pay to my said daughters the balance remaining of such investments to be divided equally between them share and share alike which I hereby will and bequeath to them,

And it is my will and desire that my said two daughters shall continue to live and reside with my said wife and to be provided for as above mentioned out of the moneys arising from the investments and principals hereinbefore mentioned until they marry.

Fourth - I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Jean McKenzie and my daughter Agnes May McKenzie executrixes and my brother in law Edward McPhail executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and Set this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of George J. McKenzie late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Medical Doctor deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 29th. day of August AD 1905.

Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 29th. day of August 1905.
