Estate of Duncan McKenzie late of Watervale, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen.
I Duncan McKenzie of Watervale in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being of sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this as my last Will and Testament.
First and principally I bequeath my Soul to God and my body to the grave in the full hope of a glorious resurrection, and concerning such worldly goods at it hath pleased God to fall to my lot I give and bequeath to my brother William McKenzie all my right and title to all my landed property containing sixty five Acres of land more or less, Situated at Watervale, with the buildings thereon, together with all the Sock of horses, sheep, and cow and all the farming utensils and household furniture.
I require him the said William McKenzie to give to my mother and my sister Mary McKenzie a suitable support in the house with himself at the discretion of my executors, or if my mother should prefer I require him my brother William McKenzie to give to her (my mother) the portion which I myself was reuired to give her by the conditions of the deed of land received from my father the late Roderick McKenzie, and in this case it is my desire if agreed to my mother that she shall share the said portion to which she is entitled by the conditions f the said deed with my sister Mary McKenzie it being my opinion that said portion will be sufficient for both. I require also that the said William McKenzie shall discharge all my legal debts.
I appoint my brother William McKenzie of Watervale and Roderick McKenzie that lives near Phanuel Hall as executor of this my last Will and testament.
Given under my hand and Seal at Watervale in the County and Province of Nova Scotia on this fourteenth day of February One thousand Eight hundred and eighty five.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one & a quarter pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Duncan McKenzie late of Watervale in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 15th. day of June A.D. 1886.
