Estate of Duncan McKenzie late of Pictou Island, Yeoman, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This last Will and Testament of Duncan McKenzie, Sen. Of Pictou Island, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Yeoman.
I Duncan McKenzie being in feeble health of Body but of Sound mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this my last Will and testament in manner and proportions following, that is to say,
I give and bequeath unto my son Murdoch McKenzie all my real Estate and personal property except so much as I shall bequeath unto my other children viz. Kenneth McKenzie, to whom I bequeath twenty five cents, Also John W. McKenzie also twenty five cents, Also Duncan McKenzie to whom I bequeath one Horse in the event of his turning to farming and needing the same, and also that he have a room in the house in which I now live or any other House that may replace the same, and also that he get his Board free of charge while coming on occasional visits.
I also bequeath unto my Daughter Mary McKenzie one Cow if needed.
I bequeath unto my Daughter Bella McKenzie the sum of Sixty dollars lawful money of Canada, to be paid out of my personal property by my son Murdoch McKenzie in three equal installments within three years after my deceaseI also bequeath unto my son Murdoch McKenzie all my lawful debts, and my funeral expenses, and that I be decently buried.
I hereby constitute and appoint Mr. Dan Sutherland Merchant Pictou, and Alex. F. Campbell Pictou Island to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, having revoked all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set the eighth day of May in the year of our Lord, one Thousand Eight hundred and Eighty nine.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Duncan McKenzie late of Pictou Island, in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 20th. day of Januaryr A.D. 1892.
