Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen.

The twenty eighth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighty one.

I, Christy McKenzie of Westville in the County of Pictou, being of perfect mind and memory, thanks be unto to God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body, knowing that it is appointed for all living once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First and principally of all, I commend my Soul to God who gave it, and my body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executrix and Executor and my friends, with a decent Christian burial.

I dispose of the whole Estate and Goods and chattels that I possess and own as follows -

I give and bequeath to my beloved Sister Margaret McKenzie who have always lived with me all my lands buildings tenements and every thing I own and possess after my debts that may incur during my sickness and funeral expenses are paid.

I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, and disannul all and every other will and Testament made on every other occasion by me, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and testament

And I nominate and appoint my said sister Margaret McKenzie and my brother Murdoch McKenzie of West River and Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
