Will of Alex G. McKenzie, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds
In the name of God Amen. I Alexander G. McKenzie of Rogers Hill Center in the County of Pictou, Farmer, hereby make my last will and Testament.
Firstly I will bequeath and devise to Alexander Fraser of Rogers Hill Center aforesaid my farm on which I now reside on condition that the said Alexander Fraser make no claim against my estate for any amount whatsoever and in the event of the said Alexander Fraser revoking any claim against my estate then this legacy shall be well and sound.
Secondly I will and bequeath to my nephew James McKenzie of Inverness Scotland one hundred and Seventy five Dollars and to each of my nieces Ellen McKenzie of Applecross and Mary McKenzie near Inverness one hundred and seventy five Dollars and to my niece Jessie McKenzie of Gairloch two hundred dollars and in the event of any of these persons James McKenzie, Ellen McKenzie, Mary McKenzie or Jessie McKenzie being dead when my executor is prepared to pay the said bequests then in the amounts bequeathed to such person or persons deceased shall not be paid but shall be and become part of the residue of my estate.
I will and bequeath to my grand niece Jessie McKenzie of Applecross as Trustee for her sister Lexie, Mary Ann and Ina two hundred Dollars to be equally divided between herself and them but if the said jessie McKenzie shall not be living when my executor shall be prepared to pay this legacy, then the legacy shall not be paid but shall be and become part of the residue of my estate.
I will and bequeath to Jessie McKenzie widow of George McKenzie of Four Mile Brook thirty Dollars.
I desire my executor to cause my name to be put on my monument in the Scotsburn Graveyard and to pay all other necessary expenses.
The residue of my estate I will and bequeath to m grand nephew John McKenzie now of this country on condition that he present no claim of any kind against my estate.
I desire my executor to pay these legacies within a reasonable time of my death at his discretion.
I nominate and appoint James W. Fraser of Scotsburn Minister of the Gospel, to be sole executor of this my last Will and Testament.

Given by the testator this thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and two as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribing witnesses who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto signed signatures affixed.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that on this thirteenth day of January 1903 published the last Will and Testament of Alexander McKenzie late of Rogers Hill Center in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou to James W. Fraser of Scotsburn in said County Minister of the Gospel as explained of said Court the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of said will.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 13th. day of January 1903..
