Description Francis Love, 1885

This Indenture made this thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand  eight-hundred and Eighty-five between Francis Love of Wentworth's Grant in the County of Pictou Yeoman of the one part.   And James Grant, John Grant and James Fraser all of Wentworth Grant and County of Pictou Farmer and Trustees of Cemetery laid off at Wentworth Grant of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Francis Love for and in consideration of the sum of four dollars of Dominion Currency to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said James Grant John Grant and James Fraser all that lot or piece of land adjoining the old Cemetery with the appurtenances situate lying and being on Wentworth's Grant bounded & described as follows this is to say – Beginning at the North East corner of said Old Cemetery thence running West by North line of said Cemetery one hundred and fifty-four feet thence North thirty feet thence East and parallel to said North line of Cemetery one hundred and fity four feet till it comes to the main Post Road thence South by said Post Road thirty feet to the place of beginning containing seventeen square rods more or less

To have and to hold the said lot or piece of land with the appurtenances to the said James Grant John Grant and James Fraser Trustees and their successors as Trustees on behalf of the parties who may possess or occupy it their heirs and assigns to their sole use forever

In witness whereof the said Francis Love hath hereunto his hand and seal subscribed and set the day and year first aforesaid.

On the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture Received from the said James Grant, John Grant and James Fraser the sum of four dollars of Dominion Currency being the consideration money in the foregoing Indenture.

On this thirteenth day of July A.D. 1885 before me the subscriber one of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Pictou personally apppeared Malcolm Fraser a subscribing witness to the foregoing instrument who deposeth that he saw the same executed by the party thereto and did thereupon subscribe him name to the same.
