Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I William A. Morton in the County of New Glasgow, Painter do hereby make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament, at the same time revoking any will or other testamentary document by me at any time heretofore made.

I direct my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses to be paid by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabel Jane any property on Fraser Street in said Town of New Glasgow in which I now reside for and during the term of her natural life and after her death to my son William Archibald McMillan. To my said son I also give devise and bequeath that wood lot at Moose River in said County conveyed to my by my grandfather by deed dated January 18th. AD 1882.

I direct my executors hereinafter named as soon as they deem it advisable to sell my house property on Albert Street in said Town of new Glasgow bequeathed to me by my grandfather hereby given to my executors full power and authority to give and execute or a valid deed of the same to the purchase thereof.

Out of the proceeds from the sale of said last mentioned property I direct my executors to deposit $200 in the |savings Bank Department of the Bank of Nova Scotia in the own names as Trustees form my said son, said sum with the interest accrued thereon to be paid to my son when he shall have attained the age of twenty one years. But if in the opinion of my executors it would be to the best advantage and for the best interests of my son that this money should be earlier paid to him or expeditated on his behalf, it is my will that they should give it to him or spend it for him as they may deem best.

The balance of the proceeds arising from the sale of my said property on Albert Street together with all my personal property of whatever nature and kind including any money I may have deposited in any Bank and all debts due me I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabel Jane.

I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife and my friend George Patterson of the said Town of New Glasgow Barrister Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named William A.  Morton Testator as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us both present at the same time, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. The words To my said son I also give devise and bequeath that wood lot at Moose River in said County conveyed to my by my grandfather by deed dated January 18th. AD 1882 being first inserted between lines 12 and 13 on the front page hereof.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of William A. Morton late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Painter deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 31st.  day of August AD 1904.
