Estate of Joseph Watters late of Mt. William, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

This is the last Will and Testament of Joseph Watters of Mount William in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia.

I give and bequeath to my brother Robert Watters all the real estate to which I am in any entitled to at the time of my death, (consisting of my land and buildings at Mount William aforesaid) upon the following conditions, viz - That he will pay or cause to pay to my Executors hereinafter named the sum of Five Hundred Dollars in the following manner viz. Two Hundred Dollars one year for the date of my death, and Fifty Dollars each consecutive year until the sum of Five Hundred Dollars is paid in full.

Further, it is my will that my Executors dispose of the Five Hundred Dollars so paid to them, in the following manner, viz - That they deposit it as they receive it in some good Bank (Savings Bank at New Glasgow preferred) There to lie on interest until my four children arrive at a legal age.

When James William Watters mu eldest son arrives at the age of Twenty one, my Will is that he receives from my Executors One Hundred and Twenty five Dollars out of the money deposited in their hands with the one fourth part of the interest that has accrued on the Five Hundred Dollars aforementioned up to that date.

Further I will that George Watters my second son on arriving at the age of Twenty one shall receive One Hundred and twenty five Dollars with interest as abovementioned.

Further I will that my son Robert Watters on arriving at the age of Twenty one shall receive One Hundred and Twenty five Dollars with interest as above.

Further, I will that my son Alexander Watters shall receive One Hundred and Twenty five Dollars with interest when he shall arrive at the age of Twenty one as above mentioned.

Further it is my Will that if any of these children abovementioned, should die before arriving at the age of Twenty one, That their portion mentioned above, shall be equally divided among the Survivors.

I hereby appoint my brothers Robert Watters and James Watters of Mt. William County aforesaid, Executors a of this my last Will and testament.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set this nineteenth day of February A.D. 1884.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Joseph Watters late of Mount William, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 2nd. day of May A.D. 1884.
