Estate of Edward Turnbull late of McLennan's Brook, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen. I, Edward Turnbull Farmer of McLennan's Brook in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say,
first I recommend my Soul to Almighty God and desire my funeral to be performed in a decent manner. I direct all the debts I may owe at the time of my decease to be paid.
I give and devise to my fourth son John James Turnbull that certain piece parcel or tract of land including the homestead situate at McLennan's Brook, County of Pictou, Province aforesaid, together with all Houses and other buildings thereon, and improvements thereon or thereto belonging, with all my Household furniture also including all my stock of Horses, Cows, ie ie including Book accounts or debts due me and all property that I own, To Hold to him the said John James Turnbull his heirs and assigns forever, on consideration that he gives to William my eldest son one half of the farming implements and gives to my second son Thomas Edward the sum of Sixty dollars, and gives to my third son Peter Sixty dollars, and to my daughter Jessie forty dollars, and her bed and bedding and to my daughter Mifsie Forty dollars, and her bed and bedding, and also gives his mother one cow, and six sheep and provides feed and take care of them for her, and also supports herself in a decent and respectable manner while she lives.
I appoint the said Daniel McDonald, Finlay McDonald, and James H. Fraser to be Executors of this my Will, hereby revoking all other wills, by me heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereto Set my hand and Seal this eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page & part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Edward Turnbull late of McLennan's Brook in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this twelfth day of July A.D. 1881.
