Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Last Will and Testament of William Turner. The twenty second day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and eighty four.
I William Turner of Barney's River in the County of Pictou and province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being of sound and disposable mind, memory and understanding blessed be God, considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time when it may overtake me, and being desirous of managing my temporal concerns, so as to prevent trouble and contention afterwards. Do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say - I will and direct that my be decently buried in a christian manner at the discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I should receive the same again by the almighty power of God.
And as to touching my worldly estate wherewith it has please God to bless me in this life - I give devise and bequeathed the same in the following manner, and form,
First I give and bequeath to my wife (words are scratched out and initialed) Catherine William Turner all the property of which I may die possessed, including mortgages, promissory notes, money's, debt due, rights, and credits, save and except which may be herein otherwise disposed of by me.
I give and bequeathed to my daughter Nicholas Jane, wife of John Robertson one dollar, also I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Martha, wife of Thomas Brown one dollar.
To my unmarried daughter Eveline Turner I give and bequeath one dollar.
To my daughter unmarried daughter Emma Grace Turner, I give and bequeath one dollar.
And I do hereby constitute make and ordain my wife Catherine William Turner Sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament who shall collect all debts due the estate and pay all claims against the Estate.
And I do hereby disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former Testament, Will, Legacy, Bequest and executor by me in any way before named, Willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

Signed sealed and delivered to be the last Will and Testament of William Turner in the presence of us, and each of us whose names are hereto written, who and each of us have subscribed our names as witnesses, thereto in his presence.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one & a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William Turner late of Barney's River, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 17th. day of March A.D. 1888.
