Estate of John Thomson late of Green Hill, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen, the twenty seventh day of January One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy four I, John Thomson of Green Hill in the County of Pictou, farmer, being sick and weak of body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of the body, knowing that it is appointed unto all once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christina burial, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty Power of God, And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
First, I give and bequeath to Jane my dearly beloved wife all my property real and personal and all the management thereof during the term of her natural life and at her death I give and bequeath to my well beloved son John George Thomson all my real estate and all the personal property remaining at my wife's death, also I give and ordain that John George Thomson my son shall pay to each of my well beloved daughters, Margaret Jane and Christy Ann, the sum of Fifty dollars lawful money of Nova Scotia, and a Cow to be paid to each of them when they come of age or on their marriage day.
I also constitute make and ordain Jane my dearly beloved my Sole executrix of this my last Will and testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, and disannul all and every other former wills or Testaments by me in any way before names, willed and bequeathed and ratifying and confirming this as my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have herein Set my hand and Seal the year and day above written.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one & a quarter pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Thomson late of Green Hill, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 19th. day of June A.D. 1885.
