Will of Catherine Thomson, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
The last Will and Testament of Catherine Thomson of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Widow.
I revoke all wills by me at any former time made.
I give and devise to my two daughters Isabella Thomson and Catherine S. Thomson in equal shares provided both of them survive me but if not, then to the one of them that survives me all my estate right title and interest in and to the certain lands and premises situate at the North side of Denoon Street in the Town of Pictou whereon I reside and being the same property devised to me by my late husband Archibald Thomson and mentioned in the deeds (1) Margaret Logan and others to Archibald Thomson dated 27th. October AD 1890 and registered in book 98 page 216 of the Registry of deeds for the County of Pictou.
(2) Catherine Thomson (myself) to Annie and Isabella Thomson dated 26th. August AD 1898 and registered in book 125 page 272 of said Registry of deeds and (3) Annie Thomson to Catherine Thomson (my said daughters) dated 12th. November AD 1901 and registered in book 132 page 427 of said registry.
I give and bequeath to my said two daughters Isabella and Catherine S. in equal shares provided both of them survive me but if not, then to the one of them that survives me all my articles of personal domestic and household use and ornament in and about the dwelling in which I am now residing.
Out of the moneys which I have deposited in bank first I direct payment of my debts and funeral and Testamentary expenses including cost of a suitable monument.
Second I give and bequeath to my said two daughters Isabella and Catherine S. in equal shares provided both of them survive me but if not, then to the one of them that survives me the sum of eight thousand dollars and third I give and bequeath to my daughter Louise (wife of Rev. H. R. Reid) the sum of one thousand dollars.
If after the payment in full of the foregoing debts expenses and legacies then be remaining a balance of said monies deposited in bank and said balance be sufficient for this purpose I give and bequeath out of such balance but not otherwise to each of my other four children namely Annie (wife of Kenneth J McKenzie) Mary (wife of T G Dickson) Archibald and William the sum of two hundred dollars, but if the said balance (if any) be less than eight hundred dollars then it shall be distributed in equal shares between said four children.
The residue and remainder of my property personal and personal of every kind quality and description and wheresoever situated I give devise and bequeath to my said two daughters Isabella and Catherine S. in equal shares provided that both of them survive me but if not then to the one of them that survives me.
I appoint my said daughters Isabella and Catherine S. executrixes of this my Will.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Catherine Thomson late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 27th. day of January AD 1909.
