Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

This is the last Will and Testament of Samuel G. Tupper of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, Merchant.

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha Tupper all my real and personal property and estate whatsoever and wheresoever to be hers absolutely and forever with full liberty to her to sell and dispose of the same if she so desires, provided however that if the homestead property on Washington Street on which I now reside is not sold by my said wife Martha Tupper in her lifetime it shall upon her death go to and become the property absolutely of my son Charles Sampson Tupper to him and his heirs forever, provided further that if my said wife Martha Tupper shall at any time during her life time sell or dispose of the said homestead property she shall immediately upon such sale taking place pay and hand over the my son Charles Sampson Tupper the sum of Two hundred dollars ( in case the said Charles Sampson Tupper shall at the time of such sale be under twenty one years of age the money shall be deposited in some chartered bank in New Glasgow there to remain until he is twenty one years of age when it shall be his absolutely) provided further that if any such sale is made by my said wife Martha Tupper she shall also pay to my daughter Tena Mary Russell the sum of Fifty dollars.

I t is my desire that so log as the homestead remains the property of my said wife Martha Tupper that it shall be a home for my said son Charles Sampson Tupper.

I nominate and appoint my said wife Martha Tupper to be the Sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament, and appoint her guardian of my infant son Charles Sampson Tupper hereby revoking all former and other wills heretofore at any time made by me.

In witness whereof I the said Samuel G. Tupper have signed and sealed this my last Will and Testament at New Glasgow in the County of Pictou this 29th. day of March AD 1902.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Samuel G. Tupper late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Merchant deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 20th. day of May 1903.
