Estate of James Thompson late of St. Paul’s, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
James Thompson of St. Paul’s in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament at the same time revoking any will or testamentary document by me at any time heretofore made.
I hereby nominate and appoint my dear wife Jessie and my brother Daniel Thompson executors of this my last Will and testament and I direct my said executors to pay all my just debts funeral Testamentary and other expenses out of my personal property.
The residue of my personal estate and all my real estate I give devise and bequeath to my said wife Jessie for and during the term of her natural life or while she remains unmarried with reversion and remainder thereof, on her decease or marriage to that one of my sons whom she may appoint or failing appointment by her, to my four children, share and share alike.
In witness whereof I have hereto Set my hand and Seal this twentieth day of February A.D. 1897.

Signed, Sealed published and declared by the said James Thompson the testator as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.(the word ‘all’ at the end of the twelfth line hereof being first erased.)

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James Thompson late of St. Paul’s, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
