Estate of William Rae late of Dalhousie Mountain, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I William Rae of Dalhousie Mountain in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other wills by me heretofore made.
First, I will devise and bequeath to the executors of this my last will and testament to be hereinafter named all my Real Estate wheresoever situate and all my personal property (excepting the household furniture), In Trust for the following uses and purposes, that is to say, that they shall as soon after my decease as is convenient convert the said Real and personal estate so Willed, devised and bequeathed, as aforesaid, into money and out of the proceeds thereof to first Pay and settle all just demands against my estate.
2nd. To pay to my beloved wife Jemma Rae the sum of Seven Hundred dollars, which amount I hereby will and bequeath to her.
3rd. To pay my daughter Elizabeth R. Rae the sum of one Hundred Dollars, which amount I hereby will and bequeath to her.
4. And the residue of such proceeds my said executors shall invest on good and safe security, and disburse the same for the care in support of my son John D. Ray.
Second, I will and bequeath to my said wife all my household furniture and furnishings.
Third, I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my brother James Rae, of Dalhousie Mountain aforesaid, and George Young of Millsville, Blacksmith, the executors of this my said last Will and Testament.

I William Rae of Dalhousie Mountain County of Pictou, Farmer, the Testator in the foregoing Will and Testament to hear by add thereto this Codicil that is to say - I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Jemma Rae, the sum of Four hundred dollars in place of the sum of Seven hundred dollars as mentioned in the second clause of the said will.
