Estate of John Reid late of Little Harbour, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, John Reid of Little Harbour County of Pictou make this my last Will and Testament.
 
First, I order that my all my lawful debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executors hereinafter named out of my personal property and that a suitable stone with inscription be erected at my grave.

Second, I give and bequeath unto my son John Robert all my real estate (Excepting that portion of my Farm that lies between the Highway leading to Fisher's Grant and the waters of Stewart's Mill dam, bounded on the west by the line of lands belonging to the Estate of the late John Dawson) together with all my personal property of whatever nature remaining after the first clause is fulfilled.

Third, I order that  my two daughters namely Maude and Jannie have a home in my son John Robert's house while they remain unmarried, and should they  or either of them get married John Robert is to give them one good Cow each and also one to my Daughter Elizabeth Ann, if not given to her in my lifetime.

Fourth, I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas all that part of my Real Estate excepted in the second clause hereof being that portion to the south of the Highway and bounded on the South by the waters o the Mill dam, and should my son Thomas be disposed to sell, he is to give my son John Robert the first offer at a reasonable price.

Fifth,  I hereby appoint my two sons Thomas and John Robert to be my executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all or any former wills and testaments made by me.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Reid late of Little Harbour, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
