Estate of James Reid late of Little Harbour, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, James Reid of Little Harbour in the County of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Farmer, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

First, I give devise and bequeath unto my sisters Henrietta and Mary my house and farm together with all my household effects stock farming implements Crops standing or harvested for their sole and benefit during their life time, and to the Survivor after the death of one of them, and after the death of the Survivor of my said sisters the said property to James William Reid for his use and benefit and his heirs, provided he works the farm, keeps all the buildings in repair and maintains it in as good condition as it now is.

Second, I give devise and bequeath unto my nephew James Elliott all the that piece and portion of land now occupied by him and described as follows, Beginning at the high Bank at the shore and thence running westerly to a pine stump, till it meets the line of lands of John Robert Reid and containing in this lot thirty acres more or less, to him and his heirs forever, Reserving however and I hereby dedicate a right of way over and across the said lands to the use of the owners of this adjacent properties to and from the shore, and also a road or right of way across from the slip to the bank and up along the bank till it reaches the lands of John Robert Reid.

Third, I forgive any debts or sums of money that may be due to me at the time of my death from said nephew, and I order and direct my Executors to cancel the same and deliver up to the said James Elliott any notes or evidences of such debts that may be held by me.

I nominate and appoint John Robert Reid, Executors of this Will Dated this twenty eighth day of November AD 1891.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James Reid late of Little Harbour, in the County of Pictou,  deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
