Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by theses present that I William McKay of the Basin below New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia, being of sound disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament.
First. I will and bequeath to my daughter Catherine the sum of Two hundred dollars, also One Cow and Two sheep.

Secondly. I will and bequeath to my daughter Mary the sum of Eighty dollars, also one Cow and two sheep.

Thirdly. I will and bequeath to my daughter Annabella, the sum of Eighty dollars.

Fourthly. I will and bequeath to my daughter Jessie the sum of Forty dollars.

Fifthly. I will and bequeath to my son James the Farm Lot on which I now reside, together with all the buildings thereon.

I also will and bequeath to my son James all the stock including horses, cattle and sheep that is on the place, with the exception of what I have already willed and bequeathed to my daughters Catherine and Mary, also all the Farming Implements that is on the place.

Lastly. I do hereby appoint George Murray Medical Doctor of New Glasgow as the Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of July, One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy five.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William McKay late of the Basin, East River, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
