Estate of Catherine McKay late of Sutherland’s River, Spinster, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God Amen.

I Catherine McKay of Sutherland’s River, in the County of Pictou, Spinster, make this my last Will and Testament, April the Twentieth, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one.

I give devise and bequeath my Estate and property, Real and personal as follows,

I give devise and bequeath to my nephew Daniel McKay Junior Coal Brook in the County of Pictou Fifty Acres of land, on the South side of the Farm which I now devise and bequeath, and that the said Daniel McKay, has to give Wood off the said Fifty acres, to John Campbell and his heirs while there is Wood on said lot.

I give devise and bequeath to John Campbell my brother in law, the remaining part of the farm of which I now own containing Fifty Acres more or lefs.

I give devise and bequeath to John Campbell and my Brother in law all the personal property viz Stock, Farming Implements, and Household Furniture, which is now on the said Farm.

I appoint John Campbell Sutherland’s River Farmer and James W. Ross of Sutherland’s Rive Farmer, in the County of Pictou, Executors of this my Will.

In witness whereof I have Signed and Sealed and published and declared this Instrument as my Will at Sutherland’s River, the Twentieth day of April A.D. 1891.

The said Catherine McKay of Sutherland’s River, on the twentieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety one, Signed and Sealed this Instrument and published and declared the same as and for her last Will, and with her request, and in her presence and in the presence of each other and at have hereunto written our names as Subscribing witnesses.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Catherine McKay late of Sutherland’s River in the County of Pictou, Spinster, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
