Estate of Alexander McKay late of Thorburn, Miner, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Know all men by these Presents, that I Alexander McKay of Thorburn in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, Miner, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament.
devise to my brother Thomas McKay and my sister Elizabeth McKay equal shares of all my interest in the farm situated on Weaver’s Mountain and at present occupied by said Thomas McKay.
Second. I give and bequeath one hundred and twenty dollars to be used for the purposes of erecting a monument to my Father and Mother and myself and wife.
Third. I give and bequeath to my wife Ann McKay, all the rest and residue of my personal property and money and goods ad effects.
Fourth. I hereby appoint my wife Ann McKay of Thorburn in the County of Pictou an Province of Nova Scotia, and my friend Robert Murray of Thorburn in County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia, executors of this my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I have the said Alexander McKay, Set my hand and Seal hereunto, this 11th. day of April A.D. 1887.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McKay late of Thorburn in the County of Pictou, Miner, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 24th. day of March A.D. 1891.
