Estate of Alexander McKay late of green Hill, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God Amen, I Alexander McKay of Green Hill, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being of sound mind and memory and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die Do make this my last Will and testament, as follows, that is to say,
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved sister Margaret Jane McKay, all the lands and buildings and premises at the Green Hill on which I now reside, containing the original lot of one hundred acres formerly owned by my Father the late Andrew McKay and also containing a lot of fourteen acres, also owned by my late father, and purchased by him from John Arthur, To Have and To Hold the same to her, her heirs and assigns forever, with all the improvements thereon, and every part and parcel thereof, of the two above mentioned lots of lands and premises.
I also further give devise and bequeath to my beloved sister Catherine McKay the two lots of land adjoining the lots above mentioned, one lot containing ten acres, and the other lot containing forty acres, said lots formerly owned by my father the late Andrew McKay and purchased by him from the late John McLean to have and to hold the same to her, her heirs and assigns forever.
I also further give devise and bequeath to my beloved sister Elizabeth McKay the lot of land containing about one hundred and four acres owned by my father the late Andrew McKay and formerly owned by one Andrew Warrick, to have and to hold the same unto her, her heirs and assigns forever.
I also further after all my just debts funeral expenses are paid, Give devise and bequeath to my beloved sister Margaret jane McKay all my personal property, crops, cows, cattle, horses, sheep, farming utensils, and implements, carts, waggons, Harness, tackling, Household furniture, and stuff of all kinds, and all personal property of every description, monies, and all goods I know have or may have at the time of my decease, to have and to hold the same unto her, her heirs and assigns forever.
And further I nominate and appoint my brother Angus McKay and Thomas McKenzie both of Green Hill, to be my executors of this my last Will and Testament, Hereby annulling and revoking all former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and ninety one.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages or thereabout, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McKay late of Green Hill, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 26th. day of January A.D. 1892.
