William McKay Esquire to Simon McKay

Release of 300 acres of land

Registered at Pictou pursuant to the Laws of the Province * Liber 2 folio 807 the 22nd August 1806 on the oath of William Fraser  --- Evidence as en-fed by Hugh Denoon, Deputy Registrar      Paid

This Indenture made the Twentieth day of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Six Between William McKay of the East River of Pictou Esquire of the one part and Simon McKay of the same place Yeoman of the other part Witnessed that the said William McKay for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds Current Money of the Province of Nova Scotia to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Simon McKay at or before the sealing and delivery here of the receipt hereof in hereby acknowledged Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released and Confirmed and by the Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff Release and Confirm unto the said Simon McKay his Heirs and Assigns All that certain Tract of Land beginning at the North East corner of Land granted to William Fraser McKay from thence North Twenty four Degrees East One Hundred and Twenty Rods to Lands granted to Isaac Warron * thence South Forty five Degrees East Four hundred and Eighty Rods thence South Twenty four Degrees West One Hundred and Twenty Rods thence North Forty five Degrees West Four hundred and Eighty Rods to the place of beginning allowing the necessary variation of the magnet containing by Estimation Three Hundred acres both the same * more or less. To have and to hold all and singluar the before described premises and every part and parcel thereof with all the Rights hereditaments * and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Simon McKay his Heirs and Assigns for ever. The Quit Rent and Covenants in the Original Grant from Government only Excepted and the said William McKay for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant Promise Grand and agree to and with the said Simon McKay his Heirs and assigns that the before described promises and every part and parcel thereof unto him the said Simon McKay his Heirs and Assigns
