The home of Samuel Brown and Nany Marshall, Green Hill, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Circa 1870,  The two young ladies standing by the porch posts are probably Catherine Brown (Mrs. John A. Grant) and her sister Margaret Brown (Mrs. Daniel Noble).
