Will of Alex McHardy, deceased

In the name of God, Amen
I Alexander McHardy of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia in the Dominion of Canada taking into consideration the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and Testament any and hereby revoking any and all wills heretofore by me made and publishing and proclaiming this and only this as my last will and Testament.
First I commit my Soul to God trusting for the forgiveness of my Sis to the word and meditation of my Lord an Saviour Jesus Christ and as for all my worldly property which is has pleased God to bless me both real and personal I give devise and bequeath as follows
Secondly I give and devise to my beloved daughter Letitia wife of A R Robertson of Churchville in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia my dwelling house and Shop situate on March Street in the Town of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia abutted bounded as follows
Beginning at a Point on Marsh Street two feet from the northwest corner of said shop and dwelling house there at a distance of two feet from said shop and dwelling house in a southwesterly course until it comes to the lands of one James W. McDonald once a Livery Keeper thence including the big old barn to the lands of ne Angus McGillivray thence in a southeasterly course or direction along said lands of Alexander McGillivray a distance of forty feet or such a distance as will give or allow egress and ingress to the said barn, thence in a northeasterly direction to Marsh Street aforesaid, thence in a northwesterly along said Marsh Street to the point of beginning.
Thirdly I give and devise to my son A C McHardy of McLellan’s Mountain in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia Farmer the triangular lot of land situated in the Town of New Glasgow the County of Pictou Dominion of Canada being on the Northwest side of the lot devised to Letitia Robertson and bounded on the southeast side by the lands of James W McDonald former Livery Keeper, on the southeast side by the lands devised to Letitia Robertson on the North side by Marsh Street and on the south by lands of James W McDonald formerly Livery Keeper
Fourthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Hannah Fraser wife of Angus Fraser Carpenter of Waverly Mass the sum of Two hundred dollars Cash to be used by her as She may see proper for the benefit of her children
Fifthly I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Catherine wife of William Perry the sum of Two hundred dollars Cash to be used by her ash she thinks right for the benefit of her family
Sixthly I give and bequeath to each of my grandchildren the children of A C McHardy on McLellan’s Mountain the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) to each to be paid by my executors within one year from my decease
I also give and devise to my four grandchildren children of A R Robertson and Letitia his wife the sum of ten dollars to each to be paid within one year after my decease
Seventhly I give and bequeath to my son John McHardy Stone Cutter now residing in Blue Hill Maine one Riding Waggon one wagon also two pairs of carts wheels with iron axle and also one loom for weaving cloth 1 copper reed one sewing machine also a number of books
Eighthly All the rest and residue and remainder of my estate real and personal wheresoever situated of which I may have died seized and possessed of or in any way entitled to with hereupon eventually deposed of I give devise and bequeath to my said son A. C. McHardy his heirs administrators executors and assigns forever thus constabulary heir residuary Legatee to this my last will and Testament
Ninthly I nominate constitute and appoint my son A C McHardy of McLellan’s Mountain in the Province of Nova Scotia and County of Pictou Farmer executor and my daughter Letitia Robertson of Churchville executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this thirtieth day of September A.D., 1907.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that on this 16th. Day of November AD 1907 the last Will and Testament of Alexander McHardy late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou deceased was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou and the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of said will of Deceased.
Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 14th.. day of February AD
