Estate of John McGregor, late of New Glasgow, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This is the last Will and Testament of me John McGregor, of Ponds Chance Harbor in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer.
I order and it is my will that my lawful debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named.
I give devise and bequeath to my wife Margaret McGregor my two farms during the time of her natural life with full power and Authority to sell and dispose of the same if necessary for the maintenance of herself and family. That is to say the farm on which I now reside situate and being between the lands of the late John Cameron on the east and the lands of Daniel Cameron on the west containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less.
And the farm situate between and being between the lands of John W. Fraser and James C. Fraser on the east and the lands of the late John Cameron aforesaid, o the west, containing one hundred and twenty five acres more or less. The said two farms hereinbefore described to go to my son John Henry McGregor at my wife’s death, Subject nevertheless to the power given to my wife the said Margaret McGregor to dispose of the same as hereinbefore specified.
I give devise and bequeath to my son the said John Henry McGregor all my farming utensil, household furniture, and personal property of whatever kind except money which may be left at my wife;s decease.
I give devise and bequeath to my Daughters Mariah McGregor and Bertha Sophia McGregor all money which may be left at my wife’s death- to be equally divided between them share and share alike.
I also order and it is my will that my said daughters hereinbefore named shall be allowed to remain on the farm with my son John Henry McGregor aforesaid and make their home I they choose, while they remain unmarried.
I also order and it is my will that my executrix and executor hereinafter named shall have full power Authority to collect all debts due me at the time of my decease and any money or monies belonging to me bearing interest and also to foreclose a mortgage which I hold if the same is not paid.
Lastly I do nominate and appoint my wife the said Margaret McGregor Executrix and John R. Reid (**’s son) Executor of this my last Will and testament and the Guardians of such of my children as may be under the age of twenty one years.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal & publish and declare this twenty fourth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety five.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John McGregor late of New Glasgow, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 27th day of April A.D. 1896.
