Will of James McGirr, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds
I James McGirr of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Roller do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and Testament at the same time revoking any will or Testamentary Document by me at any time heretofore made.
I direct my executrix hereinafter named as soon as convenient after my decease to pay all my just debts funeral and other expenses and the expenses incurred upon the settlement of my estate.
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret all the household furniture and other effects of which I may be possessed at the time of me decease.
To my said wife also I give devise and bequeath for the term of her natural life the home in which I now live in in said New Glasgow with the lands attached.
It is my will that said house should be a home for any of my daughters who may remain unmarried and at the decease of my said wife I give devise and bequeath said house and premises to such of my daughters as are then unmarried for and during such time as any of them remain unmarried, after the decease of my said wife and after the marriage or after the death before marriage of all my daughters.
I give devise and bequeath said house and premises to my two sons share and share alike.
To my son Henry I give devise and bequeath that lot of land with the buildings thereon situate near the Foundry of Matheson & Company Located in New Glasgow
All the residue of my estate I give devise and bequeath to my wife.
I hereby nominate and appoint my wife Sole Executrix of this my Will.
In Testimony whereof I have hereto my hand and seal subscribed and set this fourteenth day of December A.D. 1901.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of James McGirr late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou Roller deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 28th. day of January AD 1905.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 28th. day of January AD 1905.
