Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds

This is the last will and Testament me William MacGillivray of Bailey’s Brook in the County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia Farmer

I William MacGillivray above named do hereby declare this to be my last Will and Testament

I revoke all former wills at any time heretofore made by me.

I appoint my son Donald MacGillivray and my brother Alexander MacGillivray to be the Guardians of my children and appoint them to be executors of my Will

I devise and bequeath all the real ad personal estate to which I shall die in any wise entitled unto my son Donald MacGillivray of Bailey’s Brook in the County of Pictou ad province aforesaid subject however to the following conditions, that he maintain and support each of his three sisters Margaret, Mary Ann Margaret and Catherine in food raiment and lodging wile they remain on the farm or unmarried they the said Sisters labouring according to their abilities in working the farm and otherwise aiding and assisting their said brother

I do further order and request that my sons John W. and Angus who are as yet under age be put to some honest trade or calling and that they be given as much English education as circumstances will permit.

I do further order that my son Donald Ambrose be paid the sum of five Dollars yearly for four years.

I hereby order that my legal debts be paid out of my personal property.

It is my desire that my death cause as little change as possible in the household.

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand to this my Will this tenth day of April AD 1893.

Signed and declared by the said William McGillivray as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of William McGillivray late of Bailey’s Brook in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 30th. day of December 1902.
