Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds

This is the Last Will and Testament of me, William McGillivray (Alexander’s son), of Bailey’s Brook, the County of Pictou, in the Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer.

I give, devise and bequeath to my son Donald McGillivray ALL my real estate lands and tenements and all my personal property of whatsoever description and of whatsoever kind TO HAVE and TO HOLD all my said real estate lands and tenements to him my said son, Donald McGillivray his Heirs and Assigns forever, subject however to the payment of my just debts

ALSO to the support and maintenance of my beloved wife during her natural life: also to the support and maintenance of my daughter, Mary McGillivray, while she live with my said son Donald and unmarried she supporting and assisting in work suitable to her station in life, and should she get married my said son Donald shall fit her out for her marriage and give her one cow as a marriage portion: Also to afford my son John McGillivray his support and maintenance should he my said son John return home and unable through sickness or want of means to support himself.

I nominate and appoint my said son Donald McGillivray and my nephew Angus McGillivray, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.

I hereby direct my said executors to pay all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses as soon as possible after decease.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I have hereunto my hand and seal subscribe and set this nineteenth day of July, A.D. 1900.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of William McGillivray late of Bailey’s Brook in the County of Pictou Customs Officer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 5th. day of October AD 1910.
