Description William Fraser

Know all men by these present that I William Fraser of the County of Pictou, Millbrook, Middle River, yeoman being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of the body knowing that it is appointed untol all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the Hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discrection of my friends nothing doubting but at the General Ressurection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God and as touching my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to help in this life I give devise and despose of the same in the following manner and form.

First I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Paul Fraser all my lands buildings and stock together with all my implements for farming and household furniture and a share of the saw mill by him freely to be possessed and enjoyed.

Also I give my well beloved daughter Catherine the sum of five pounds and the weavign loom.

Also I give to my well beloved daughter Nancy the sum of five pounds.

Also I give to my well beloved daughter Mary the sum of five pounds.

Also I give to my well beloved daughter Betsy the sum of five pounds. 

Also I give to my well beloved daughter Jane the sume of five shillings.

Also I give to my well beloved son Robert the sum of five shillings.

Also I give to my well beloved son Kenneth the sum of five shillings.

Also I give to my well beloved son Alexander the sum of five shillings.

Also I give to my beloved son Donald the sum of ten shillings all which sums are to be paid by Paul.  The aforegoing being the true intent and meaning of this my last will and Testament and in view that the same my be carried into effect I hereby nominate and appoint Hugh Sutherland and Donald Fraser both of Millbrook my Executors trusting that they will carry into effect what is herein set forth.

In witness wereof I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of November on thousand eight hundred and forty-seven

Signed, Sealed, Puplished, Pronounced and Declared by the said Willliam Fraser as his last will and Testament in the presence of us his subscribers.
