Estate of Elizabeth McGillivray late of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen

I, Elizabeth (Betty) McGillivray, widow of the late Ronald McGillivray of Pictou, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, being of sound mind and memory and mindful of the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, That is to say after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath the sum of forty dollars to Sarah McDonald, wife of my brother Alexander McDonald,

I give and bequeath James and Angus McDonald sons of my said brother Alexander McDonald, each, the sum of ten dollars.

I give and bequeath to the Rev. John J. Chisholm pastor of the Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, the sum of twenty dollars for his own benefit.

I give and bequeath to the said Rev. John J. Chisholm the sum of forty dollars for spiritual purposes.

The residue of my estate, real and personal I give and bequeath to my said brother Alexander McDonald, my brother Roderick McDonald and my sister Ann McDonald, share and share alike.

I appoint and constitute my said brothers Alexander and Roderick McDonald the Executors and administrators of this my last Will and testament and I hereby revoke and annul all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my hand and affixed my Seal, on this twenty first day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and ninety six, in the presence of the subscribing witnesses, in the presence of each other.
