Windsor, 30 May/4-
My Dear Mr. Hatton
I have taken the liberty of writing to you in the belief that I am not exceeding the bounds you will permit me to go to. Mrs. King has long wished to have the graves of her Father and Mother properly and respectfully* enclosed with a paling which will preserve* -- and service* a proper respect for her parents memory and I feel sure that from your continued kindness to all her family at Pictou you will do her the kindness to see that a good neat fence is put around the graves of her Mother and Father and I will be very happy to accept your draft at* sight "Which you may negotiate without any trouble with Primrose the agent of the Br. Nova Scotia" for the amount of expense incurred* in the work. Mrs. King has written a letter to Elisa McKay, Mrs. McLeans daughter to say you will have the goodness to have the late Mr. Frasers Picture packed and sent to her. Will it be too much to ask you to see that it is properly packed and forwarded to us. I think probably it had better be sent by Arneson's Coach and I feel sure it will be taken care of as Arneson and I are well acquainted. please include in your draft -- me the expence of the Picture as well as the Paling. I dare say you have been delighted with Lord John Russells late dispatch it puts out the Radical Pipe* and they will have to send me a little more of that official Tobacco yet before they get "Responsible Government." Mrs. King desires me to write her love with my kind regards to Mrs. Hatton and the children.
And I by you to ---
-- Dear Sir
Yours very truly*
Harry King
