Estate of Alexander McGillivray late of Mount Thom, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Alexander McGillivray of Mount Thom in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all wills heretofore made.

1st. - I will devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Ellen McGillivray and my Daughter Elizabeth McGillivray the property on which I now reside also the wood lot on Mt. Thom also all my personal property Equal shares, share and share alike. At the decease of either the Survivor to become Sole owner.

2nd. I will devise and bequeath to my daughter Annie Fraser the sum of One dollar.

3rd. I will devise and bequeath to my daughter Ellen McDonald, the sum of one dollar.

4th. - I will devise and bequeath to my daughter Catherine McCulloch the sum of one dollar.

5th. - I will devise and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Young the sum of one dollar.

6th. - I will devise and bequeath to my daughter Jessie McKenzie the sum of one dollar.

Lastly, I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife Ellen McGillivray, my Daughter Elizabeth McGillivray and John R. Bell of Salt Springs all in the County aforesaid the Executors of this my last Will and testament..

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set this Twenty seventh day of January A.D. 1888.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McGillivray late of Mount Thom in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
