Halstead - MacKay - At Roxbury, Mass., March 2nd, 1896, by the Rev. James Boyd Brady, George H. Halstead, to Maria J. MacKay, eldest daughter of David MacKay, Esq., Millbank Farm, Pictou, N.S.

Currie - Westaway - At St. James Church, Pictou, April 29th., by the Rev. H.L.A. Almon, Norman A. Currie of Charlottetown, P.E.I to Fannie Westaway of Georgetown, P.E.I.

Fraser - Jones - In Seattle, at the residence of Mr. Robert Fraser, brother of the groom, March 19, Rev. John A. Fraser, of Anacortes, formerly of Millsville, Pictou and Grace M. Jones, of Spokane, Rev. Jno P. Ludlow officiating. 

Deaths published in The Advocate, Pictou on the first of May, 1896. 

Earle:- At Montreal, April 15th, of consumption, William A. Earle, aged 33 years.

Stewart:- At West River, Pictou, on the 9th inst., of congestion, James Stewart, aged 86 years.

Urquhart:- At Island, East River, April 14th., Catherine Cameron relict of the late Alexander Urquhart, aged 88 years.

Johnson:- At New York, suddenly, of double pneumonia, April 19th., George G. Johnson, M.D., son of the late Rev. Samuel Johnson, of Chipman, N.B.

Fox:- Suddenly, 17 April, at the residence of her son-in-law Mr. Stephen Harlow, of heart failure, Agnes Barry, widow of the late John Fox, M.D. assistant surgeon R.N.  Mrs. Fox was born at West River, Pictou, 81 years ago.

Williamson:- At the City Hospital, Boston, 15th inst., Sadie, daughter of Mrs. Jane Williamson, of Tatamagouche.

Grant:- At Durham, April 27th, 1896, Lucy, eldest daughter of Robt. Grant, in the 26th year of her age.
