Estate of William McDonald late of Wentworth Grant, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of
Know all men by these present that I William McDonald of Wentworth Grant in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia Farmer, Being of sound mind and disposing judgement do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following and do by this revoke all former wills by me made.
First - I resign my soul to Almighty God hoping and believing in remission of Sins through the merits of Christ my Saviour, my Body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named in a decent Christian manner.
And my worldly estate I devise and bequeath as follows -
2nd. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary McDonald the one half of the house I now occupy with one half the furniture therein contained for her use during her natural life and also a joint control of the farm stock viz. cattle, sheep and horses with my son Daniel McDonald who will be hereinafter named, also I give to my beloved wife Mary McDonald all the money to which I shall be entitled at my decease, Cash, Bank deposits, notes of hand of whatsoever kind, after satisfying the bequests hereinafter made.
3rd. I give to Donald McDonald my son the East half of the farm I now occupy divided by a straight line run at right angles from front to rear starting from the centre of the lot on the line dividing said lot from the land owned by James D. Meikle. Also the one half of my dwelling house and the two old barns with the out house and one half the orchard together with one acre of land around the buildings and the use of the road to the main road from said buildings as long as required, also one half interest in and control of the farm stock cattle sheep and horses, farming implements and cc with four thousand dollars in Cash.
4th. I give and bequeath to William McDonald my son the western half of the farm I now occupy divided by the same line described in my bequest to Daniel my son with the new barn less the bequest made to Daniel my son of one acre of land around the buildings with one half the orchard, Also I give to William A. McDonald my son 4 four Hundred dollars in Cash, with that portion of the stock he now has the use of.
5th. I give to my Daughter Anne wife of James McDonald one Hundred dollars.
6th. I give to my daughter Bellah wife of Roderick McDougall one Hundred dollars.
7th. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Elizabeth wife of John Simson one Hundred dollars.
8th. I give to y daughter Maggie one Hundred dollars.
Lastly - I nominate and appoint as executors to this my last Will and testament James McDonald Farmer, of McLennan's Mtn. and Roderick McDougall Merchant of Blue Mountain.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto Set and Subscribed my name, and affixed my Seal this seventeenth day of December A.D. 1889.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William McDonald late of Wentworth Grant, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this 19th day of January A.D. 1894.
