Will of T. D. MacDonald, Deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
Stellarton May 27th. 1912.
I Thomas D. Macdonald, Merchant, of the Town of Stellarton, in the County of Pictou being conscious of the uncertainty of human life and being of sound, disposing mind, and memory, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
1st. I give and devise bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Catherine Macdonald the following two properties which she now holds by deed, viz: the new Store Buildings and lot, known as the Wm. Conway Corner lot, and the double tenement house west of the rink, formerly known as the Howard Cameron property, subject to the reversion of both properties after her death to be equally divided among my two sons John W. and Henry C. If agreeable to sell at any earlier period the two sons can only claim one-fourth each of the proceeds of sale and my beloved wife the remaining one-half of proceeds.
I also will to her my insurance policy No. 44644, and one-third value of insurance policy No. 0347 as is the wording of the same, my two sons aforesaid to get one-third each out of same policy 0347.
I also will to her (if unsold) 2 building lots in Plymouth Park as she may select.
And lastly the sum of one-thousand dollars cash to have the benefit and interest of during her life, and after her decease to revert iover in equal shares to our two sons above mentioned.
2nd. I give and devise bequeath unto my son John W. Macdonald as also my deed the dwelling house at South and Stellarton, known as the Percy Mullin property and one-fourth the proceeds of afore mentioned properties at time of sale, when all concerned are agreed to sell, and if unsold, two building los in Plymouth Park.
3rd. I give and devise bequeath unto my son Henry C. McDonald the proceeds that are now due me and accruing from time to time from the Wm. Eddy property and the A.J. Urquhart Property in Plymouth Park. Also I give and devise bequeath to him the 50 acres woodland property I have by deed in Caledonia Guysborough Co., and the shares I hold in the Western building society and mining property (West). If unsold all the real estate South of Main highway known as Plymouth Park to be sold by executors and proceeds equally divided to Mrs. McD., H.C. & J.W.
4ht. I give and devise bequeath unto my three grand-children Thos. D., Joseph Baxter, and A.W. the sum of one hundred dollars (each) $100.00 and also a building lot (each) in Plymouth Park or the value of same when sold. These amounts to be placed on interest until the age of fifteen years when the same can be used for assisting in their education and now appoint their father as guardian over the above expenditure.
Lastly I give and devise bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars (each) to the following most worthy and needful objects viz: $100.00 each
6th. To Home Missions $100.00
7th. " Foreign Missions 100.00
8th. " Sharon Church debt 100.00
9th. The suppression of the liquor traffic in the 100.00

EIGHTH I give and devise bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars to
& my only surviving brother Simon McDonald now in Portland,
Lastly Oregon, if living at my decease.
I order and command that out of the proceeds of my estate all my legal debts be paid and my funeral expenses and my residue then remaining shall be equally divided among my beloved wife Mary C. and my two sons John William and Henry C.
I now appoint my beloved wife Mary C. and my son Henry C. as my executors to execute this my last Will and Testament.
In testimony whereof I hereto have set my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in the presence of the witnesses below named on this twenty-seventh day of May in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and twelve.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing type written paper is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Thomas D McDonald late of Stellarton in the County of Pictou Merchant deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the first day of November AD 1912
