Estate of Robert McDonald, late of Barney's River, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen.

I Robert McDonald farmer of Avondale Barney's River County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia Dominion of Canada, Being sound in mind memory and understanding do  make this my last Will and Testament on the form following -

1st. I order and direct my hereinafter named Executors to pay all my just debts dues and demands funeral expenses and all contingent expenses out of my personal property.

2nd.  I devise and bequeath to my Daughters Sarah and Jannet the farm on which I reside with all the right, title, claims and interest which I at present  possess with all the live stock and farming utensils hereto belonging share and share alike.

3rd. And the said Sarah and Jannet my Daughters will provide food and raiment and comfortable home to (insertion) to my daughter Margaret with her own help during her natural life.

4th. Sarah and Jannet my daughters who are heirs to my real estate, the one who may survive the other is the heir of the whole Estate.

5th. And other of my family not mentioned in this paper writing who may say to be the heirs at law I cut off with one Dollar each.

6th. I appoint as my executors my brothers James and George McDonald.

7th. We the undersigned do Subscribed this --- Will and testament in the presence of the Testator and in the presence of each other this first day of October A.D. 1880.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page Testament of Robert McDonald, late of Avondale, Barney's River in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
