Estate of Robert McDonald, late of McPherson's Mills, Merchant, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by these presents that I Robert McDonald of McPherson's Mills, Sutherland's River, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Merchant, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do  make and publish this as my last Will and Testament. 

First, I hereby bequeath to my daughter Jennie Isabella McDonald the property on which I now reside comprising twenty five acres of land and all the livestock thereon, together with all the buildings, household furniture, Carriages, and farming implements, also six hundred Dollard of legal money $600.00.

Second, I hereby bequeath to my son Ives McDonald the sum of Seventy five dollars of legal money $75.00

Third, I hereby bequeath to my son John Hugh McDonald the sum of Three Hundred dollars of legal money $300.00

Fourth, I hereby bequeath to my son Robert Grant McDonald the sum of Two hundred Dollars of legal money $200.00

Fifth, I hereby bequeath to my daughter Willenn McDonald the sum of two Hundred and fifty Dollars of legal money $250.00

Sixth, I hereby bequeath to my daughter Minnie Carr McDonald the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars of legal money $250.00

Seventh, I hereby bequeath to my niece Jane Isabel McDonald daughter of the late Hector McDonald the sum of Ten dollars legal money $10.00

Eighth, I hereby bequeath to my Brother Peter McDonald the sum of Twenty Dollars of legal money $20.00

Ninth, I order that all my funeral and legal expenses be paid.

I hereby appoint my son Ives McDonald of McPherson's Mills, and David Meikle Esq. of Meiklefield to be the Executors of this my   last Will & Testament.

In witness whereof I Robert McDonald of McPherson's Mills, Merchant, have hereto Set my hand and Seal this 14th.  day of July 1898.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Robert McDonald, late of McPherson's Mills, in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
