Will of John T. Blackie, deceased
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I John Thomas Blackie of Green Hill in the County of Pictou, N.S., Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament.
I hereby give devise and bequeath to my son James Daniel Blackie all my real and personal estate of which I may be possessed at the time of my decease on the following conditions, that is to say that the said James Daniel Blackie shall pay all my just debts and shall provide for my wife Margaret Catherine Blackie in her old house in the same way as I have provided for her in my life time in every respect and that he pay to her annually ten dollars in cash for pocket money or for her own personal use. Besides all that, he shall my son William Allison Blackie to ge a good education or such an ordinary trade as the said William Allison Blackie may prefer and to pay the cost of his getting better as far as Grade 10 in the common Schools, and that he the said James Daniel Blackie shall also provide a place in the old home for all my unmarried daughters until they marry or leave home of their own accord and should the said James Daniel Blackie fail to perform their engagements -to the satisfaction of my executor and executrix then the property herein willed to him will be sold by my executor and executrix to these obligations.
I hereby appoint Alonzo Myers and Margaret Catherine Blackie to be executor and executrix of this my Will.

Signed Published and declared by the said John Thomas Blackie as his last Will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses to this execution hereof.

I John D. McLeod of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper written is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Thomas Blackie, late of Green Hill, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in said Court on the 24nd. day of November AD 1905.
