Will of Joseph McDonald late of Lismore deceased
Certified Copy for the Reg of Deeds

This is the last will and Testament of me Joseph McDonald of Lismore in the County of Pictou desiring to dispose of my property now that I find myself sane in mind and body.

I ordain that all my just and legal debts shall be paid out of the proceeds of the property hereby bequeathed to my beloved wife Mary.

I ordain that my beloved mother shall be clothed nursed and supported during the natural period of her life and provided with medicine and medical attendance when needed by and at the expense of my beloved wife from the proceeds of my farm.

I give and bequeath to my brother Donald Two acres of land to be laid out on the east side of my farm at the corner below the Public Road and along the creek running north to have and to hold the same for his own use and benefit forever.

I give and bequeath to my beloved by Mary all the rest or residue of my real estate and personal property wherever situated to be by her fully enjoyed forever.

And lastly I ordain the foregoing orders and decrees shall be fully carried out and I hereby appoint Duncan McIntosh of Lismore and Angus R McDonald of Knoydart wherein I make constitute and ordain executors of this my last will and Testament this first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that this forgoing paper writing is a true and correct copy of the will of Joseph McDonald late of Lismore in said said County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to probate in said Court on the eighth day of July 1901.
