May 5th., 1905

I John MacDonald Farmer, of Upper Gairloch do hereby of my own free will & desire without any constraint or confrulsion** from any outside parties make this my last will and Testament and do hereby bequeath or devise my personal and real Estate to the following heir or heirs

To James Wm MacLean (my nephew) I bequeath my farm and real Estate including 118 acres of land Situated at Upper Gairloch Pictou Co N.S. and also 240 acres of land in Colchester Co. bordering on Pictou Co. as described and declared in its Deed on record in the Recording Office in Truro, N.S.,

Also all the farming implements waggons ** houses barns and outhouses & two horses & five cows and Six Sheep, also one hundred Dollars ($100.00) now (insertion) on deposit in the Union Bank of Halifax Truro N.S.

To my sister Katherine MacDonald I bequeath also five hundred Dollars ($500.00) more or less with all its accrued interest now on deposit in the Royal (Union scratched out) Bank of Canada (Halifax scratched out) Truro N.S. and in the Savings Bank New Glasgow N.S.

Also to my sister Katherine two cows and Six Sheep and that she have the privilege so long as she may desire it the use of one horse and carriage (insertion) to go away from home to Church.

Also to have her house here on the farm so long as she may desire to use it as her home.

To my sister Jane MacDonald the use of the home as her house so long as she may desire to use it as her home

I appoint Rev. J.C. MacLeod and J.W. MacLean as executors

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of John MacDonald late of Upper Gairloch in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 12th day of February AD 1905.

Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 17th. day of June AD 1905.
