Estate of Donald McDonald, late of Sunny Brae, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by these present, that I Donald McDonald of Sunny Brae East river, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, do hereby make and Publish this my last Will and Testament, and

1st - I give and bequeath to my beloved son Alexander the one half of my Farm, lying and being Situated at Sunny Brae, East River, Pictou, and bounded by the lands of Leonard Anderson from the main road to the rear.

2nd - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife and Maud my beloved Daughter – the Piece of land starting from the old Grist Mill leading up by the main road till the gate opposite the old House, then following the road that to the Barn one Hundred feet above the house then taking a straight course across to the Brook at the foot of the Hill thence down the Brook till it comes to the place of Beginning.

3rd – I give and bequeath to my beloved son John that what remains of the half of the Farm joining D. A. McDonald.

4th – I give and bequeath to my beloved wife the Four Cows.

5th – I ordain and order that my sons Alexander and John C. Provide and feed one Cow and three sheep a Piece, also one Barrel of |Flour a piece, and a barrel of Oatmeal between them, Ten bushels of Potatoes a piece, also provide fire wood for her, all the year round.

6th – I appoint and order Duncan McDonald Elder, to be my Sole the executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 17th. day of April 1893.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Donald McDonald, late of Sunny Brae in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 20th day of April A.D. 1896.
