Will of Christy McDonald, Deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
In the name of God Amen I Christy McDonald of Cape John County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia being weak and frail of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for his goodness do hereby make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following viz,
first of all I commend my spirit to Almighty God who gave it and my body I commit to the dust where it came to be interred in the manner of a decent Christian burial.
And whereas it has pleased my late father Angus McDonald to bequeath to me in his last will and Testament a lot of land containing fifty acres more or less situated in Cape John aforesaid the bounds and limits of which will appear reference thereto, Now I give and bequeath to said lot of land and possessions to my beloved mother Anne during the term of her natural life,
and if it pleased God that my beloved Sister Henrietta will survive my mother, I order and direct that the said Henrietta will possess and enjoy the said lot of land and possession forever but in the event of the demise of my said sister Henrietta before the death of my said Mother, in that case I order and direct that the said lot of land and possessions be equally shared between my beloved sisters Elizabeth and Ellen to be possessed and enjoyed by them forever.
And whatever personal property I possess I order that my beloved mother whom I constitute sole executrix of this my last will and Testament will dispose of the same as she sees proper.
In Witness Whereof I to these present subscribe my names, and set my Seal on this the sixth day of July in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty six.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Christy McDonald late of Cape John in the County of Pictou Spinster deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 27th day of May AD 1903.
Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 27th. day of May AD 1903.
