Estate of James Robertson late of Churchville, Farmer deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This is the last Will and Testament of James Robertson (John 's Son) of Churchville in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia.
1st. I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Ann, of my personal property that will remain after my funeral expenses and other just debts are paid, also the Sole use of my farm for a term of two years, and also the Sole use and possession of one third part of my said farm during her lifetime which third part shall be worked and cultivated by John William my son or by whatever one of my sons who will occupy my farm and also one half of the house in which I reside for her sole use during her lifetime.
2nd. I will and bequeath to John William my son all my real Estate for his Sole use forever, provided always that she shall not have possession of any part of it during his mother's lifetime, and Provided also that he shall cultivate for his mother the part occupied by her during her lifetime, also he shall allow my two daughters Isabella Jane, and Kate a home in his house with all the privileges of food and houseroom enjoyed by his own family at all times when they shall wish for the same, Also he shall give to Donald Samuel Fraser my son as good an education as he can acquire in the District School, and if my said son John William does not wish to accept of the farm, and will not remain on it, then I will and bequeath it to my second son Donald Samuel Fraser and he shall be subject to the same conditions as is herein mentioned in case John William shall accept it.
3rd. I appoint and nominate William McDonald, Joiner, of Churchville and Robert McIntosh of Island East River as Executors of this my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I have to these presents my name and Seal Subscribed and Set this seventeenth day of May A.D. 1888.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one & a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James Robertson late of Churchville, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 27th.day of June A.D. 1891.
