Estate of Alexander Robertson late of Churchville, Mason, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, Alexander Robertson of Churchville in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, Mason, being of Sound and disposing mind and  memory do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

And as to my worldly estate and all the property real personal or  mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I  devise bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following, to wit.

1st. I give devise and bequeath to Roderick Robertson of Churchville my brother my Black horse for his Sole  use forever.

2nd.  I will and bequeath to Margaret McLennan Widow of Alex. McLennan late of Churchville my sister one Cow and all of the Hay Straw and grain of all Kinds both threshed and unthreshed which shall be in my possession at the time of my decease, and also all the potatoes and other root crops which shall be in my possession at the time of my decease for his sole use and benefit forever.

3rd.  I will devise and bequeath to John Robertson of Churchville, Farmer, my brother after the payment of my lawful and just debts and funeral expenses, all of my real estate which is the farm on which I now reside, with the buildings thereonto, belonging, and all the appurtenances thereon, and also the residue or remaining part of my personal property for his the said John Robertson's use and behoof forever.

4th.  I appoint Roderick Robertson my brother Sole Executors of this my last Will and testament.

In testimony whereof I have to these presents my name and Seal Subscribed and set, this first day of December A.D. 1896.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one & a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander Robertson late of Churchville, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
