Province of Nova Scotia Registrars Office Pictou 20th Nov 1884 I Certify that the within instrument was duly registered at November* of the above day in Book 84 pages 40 & 41 on the oath of William McKenzie a subscribing witness thereto, John Ferguson, Reg.

This Indenture made this Twenty Sixth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Seventy nine, Between Kenneth McKenzie of the Green hill in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, yeoman, of the one part, and George William McKenzie, his son, of the place County and Province aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth- That the said Kenneth McKenzie for, and in consideration of the Sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars lawful money of the Dominion of Canada, to him in hand, paid well and truly, by the said George William McKenzie the receipt wereof is here by acknowledged, Hath Granted, Bargained, Sold, Enfeoffed, Released and Confirmed, and by these presents, Doth Grant, Bargain, Sell, Enfeoff, Release and Confirm Unto the said George William McKenzie, his heirs and assigns for ever, All that certain lot or parcel of land Situate, lying and being on the Greenhill aforesaid and abutted and Bounded as follows, That is to say, Beginning on the Old Philadelphia line, at the angle formed on the East side by the South side line of land formerly owned by Robert Steward, thence South Seventy two and one fourth degrees East Twenty chains on said line or untill it meets Alexander Gray's lands, thence on said Alexander Gray's South side line South Seventy two and one fourth degrees East five chains, thence from said old road on Alexander Gray's South side line South Seventy two and a fourt degrees East fifteen chains and twenty links untill it meets the lands lately owned by Kenneth Fraser, thence Sough Six and three fourth degrees West on said Kenneth Frasers West line twenty three chains thirty Nine links, less Five chains, making Eighteen chains thirty nine links to a stake and Stones, thence North Seventy two and a fourth degrees West Sixteen Chains and Fifty links to the old high road, thence South nine degrees West four chains, twenty five links, thence North Sixty nine and one fourth degrees West close past apple tree on face of hill to east side of drain and on north east side of Spring four chains, thence South thirteen and three fourth degrees West one chain, thence North Seventy

two and one fourth degrees West twenty two chains and twenty five links to Hemlock corner, thence North three and three fourth degrees South Eleven chains and Sixty four links to a stake thence North Seventy two and one fourth degrees West twenty two chains and twenty five links to hemlock corner, thence North three and three fourth degrees East four chains and eighty two links to Spruce corner, thence North Seventy two and one fourth degrees West eighteen chains and Seventy five links to old Philadelphia line, thence North four degrees east to the place of beginning, (courses all by magnet) Containing One Hundred and twenty three acres more or less- Together with all and Singular the Houses, Outhouses, Buildings and improvements, Woods, ways, (except the road passing through known as the new road) Waters, Water courses, rents, issues and profits there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said George William McKenzie his Heirs and assigns for ever- And the said Kenneth McKenzie for himself his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns Doth hereby Grant remise and for ever quit claim to the afore described premises with the appurtenances (excepting the said new road) To Have and to Hold the said lot piece or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances, Unto the said George William McKenzie his heirs, Executors, Administrators and assigns to his and their proper use benefit and behoof for ever
