Estate of David Ross late of Hopewell, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen. I David Ross of Upper Hopewell in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Yeoman, being at present weak and infirm of body, but in my usual and ordinary possession of all my mental faculties, and considering the uncertainty of all earthly things and the certainty of death, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament.

First, and principally I command my Soul to God gave it, and my body to Christian burial and touching such worldly possessions with which it had pleased God bless me, I now dispose of in manner and form following, that is to say,

First I desire my executors hereinafter mentioned to pay out of my Real or personal property as they may deem fit all just get debts due by me at my death,

To my well beloved wife Isabella Ross I give devise and bequeath the whole of the real Estate together with all and singular the appurtenances thereon, I also give devise and bequeath unto her the said Isabella Ross the whole of my personal property of whatever nature or kind the same being attached to the property on which I now reside.  Should any residue of Real Estate or personal property wherever found ever appear I further give devise and bequeath unto her the said Isabella Ross all and singular I give devise and bequeath for her sole use and benefit forever.

And I hereby cancel and annual and revoke all and every former Will if any be found, and Do Declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

I hereby nominate and appoint my friends, John Dunbar of Lorne, and Thomas McDonald Elder of Glengarry Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I the Testator have hereto subscribed my name and affixed my seal on the Twenty third day of November A.D. 1886,

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of David Ross late of Upper Hopewell, in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 29th. day of January A.D. 1887.
